Wendy Claire Barrie is the author of Faith at Home: A Handbook for Cautiously Christian Parents, and is finishing up her second book, The Church Post-Sunday School: How to Be Intergenerational and Why it Matters. She’s a writer, editor, speaker, and longtime Christian educator. Most recently, she spent 5 years in ministry with children, youth and families at Trinity Church Wall Street in lower Manhattan, where Alexander Hamilton is buried and so, apparently, is Spider-Man, if you’ve seen “Into the Spider-Verse”, and if you haven’t, you are in for a treat. She has served seven Episcopal churches large and small on both coasts in family ministry over the last 30 years, and a long time ago taught preschool and drama at an Episcopal school. Wendy has a son, Peter, who’s spending his senior year of high school in his bedroom, and a husband, Phil, whom she and Peter met at St. Lydia’s, a dinner church in Brooklyn. Lately, she’s been doing a lot of anxiety baking.
